Hi there.
This is a question regarding the onward/ return ticket requirement, upon travelling to Thailand on a 60-day visa exemption stamp.
I intend to stay in Thailand for approximately 90 days in this way, later applying for the 30-day extension … Then I intend to travel onward to Cambodia.
I was wondering though … Is it necessary to hold a return/ onward ticket that departs Thailand within 60 days … or would it suffice to have a flight out of there 89 days after the day of arrival (the flight I actually need).
I’ve been checked for the onward flight thing twice in the past when traveling to Thailand, but I’ve never had the same considerations about extensions and onward travel as I do now.
Your advice on this matter would be much appreciated
Thanks 🙏🏻
My marriage certificate is at the Thai embassy now. When authenticated I’ll get it translated and certified at the MFA in Thailand then get it registered at my local Amphor for the Kor ror 22.
Does the Amphor keep my marriage certificate? I’m going to assume I’ll need it for Thai immigration.
Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question or if it’s been answered before, but in the TDAC form when it says ‘Country/Territory where you boarded’ do I select UK as that’s the beginning of my journey or do I select Qatar which is where I’ll have my connecting flight? Thank you in advance!
Am I right in thinking that potentially I could enter Thailand on a visa exempt for 60 then leave for a few days then come back using a non o 90 day visa that I had applied for previously
Talking about Thai bank accounts I have a question is it better for me to send money to account and then withdraw it for spending money or should I just keep using my debit card on my American bank account. I wasn’t sure what the transfer fees would be sending it to my Thai bank account. Right now I just have the ฿430,000 for my marriage visa.
The good news is my ฿430,000 has been in the Thai Bank, K Bank for 2 months. I just had my visa agent fill out all the paperwork so I can get my one month visa. With in the next 2 weeks the police will come to my house to make sure I really live with my wife as a husband. Once that is completed I can get the one year extension. Thanks for all of the information in this group!!!
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Brandon and all the others who give so much of their time to help people in this forum. I joined about a year ago having decided to make the move to Thailand and have closely followed the replies to the many questions from people on various topics. I found the advice and information invaluable. I applied for my non-O in Madrid 4 weeks ago, arrived in Thailand on Friday, went to Immigration this morning and opened a bank account this afternoon. Everything was straightforward but only because of the support offered on this forum. Thanks guys, keep up the good work! PS Any idea where I can get hold of 800, 000 baht? (Only kidding😅)

Good morning. I wonder if someone can give me a bit of advice. I’m a UK citizen divorced ,however I’m in a relationship with a Thai lady. She lives and works in the UK, which is where I met her four years ago .
I’m retired She still works and we both live together. she owns a house two hours drive north of Bangkok eventually she wants to go back to Thailand permanently with me to follow her. We have both discussed about getting married here in the UK, but I have now talked about getting married in Thailand.
The information I want is what kind of documentation do I require in order to get married in Thailand and where to obtain it if anyone out there that can offer me assistance and advice, I would be most grateful.
Hello, I wanna take some time and thank everyone for the great advice I received about Visa companies! Thank you very very much! Now I need a drivers license. Who please, is the best drivers license company?
Hello everyone!
Just want to ask for some advice.
I will be applying for the DTV via soft power. But have been overthinking the accommodation part for some time. I own a condo in Thailand and here is the dilema. Should I put my own condo in the application? Is it possible that somehow it could make my application "weaker" lol. Or should I just book something for a month and not worry about it?
I would appreciate any advice if someone has applied with own condo. 😅
A visa agent told me that the class alone would cost 26,000 bhat, though attendance optional. So I would have to pay the school this amount every year for the five year DTV visa?
