Dear DTV experts - I entered Thailand in August on three months Ed visa which is valid till end of November. I am not intending to extend it but rather apply for a DTV.

So, do I need to wait until my current Ed visa’s validity or I can exit anytime now and apply for DTV. Your help is much appreciated 🙏

Hi i plan to apply and have 3 questions:

1. I am Israeli and currently residing in Tbilisi, i read that the responsible thai embassy is the one in Ankara. Considering the political climate it will not be safe to travel there if they request an in person meeting, what should i do in that case?

2. I plan to get the visa together with my family for both my spouse and baby, but we aren't married. What document should we provide to prove our relationship? Will a birth certificate be sufficient to also show my relationship with my spouse?

3. When they ask for a bank statement, are they expecting the balance to be over 500k for the entire duration of the statement or just the balance at the time of issuing the statement?

Applying from Vietnam on 26 October. Muay thai. Just revieved all the documents from muay thai gym and they are wrong. My name has been misspelled. Obviously muay thai gym will need to redo it. While that is happening

I also noticed I paid for 12 months training but the muay thai gym letter says training from nov 2025 to august 2026. Is this an error? And there is a section that says visa will allow the individual to stay in Thailand a minimum of 90 days again is this an error or is this related to the 90 day check in?

Should I be asking the Gym to change that information as well

Who has had experience with the DTV Soft Power Visa attending cooking or Muy Thai courses in Chiang Mai, and then moved to another city (Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket) and continued courses with a different school in a different city?

My friend got in a wreck a few months ago and was in the hospital he's close to 90 days overstay and is able to leave now but curious as to if the 1 year ban kicks in at day 89, day 90 or day 91 counting last day of visa and the last day in the country.

heard nothing until for 2 weeks

called them today (monday 20th oct)

they said there was delays because lots of people were applying at this time

I have a few questions for you veterans in Thailand. I'm planning on moving there in the spring of 26 on a non OA retirement visa. I'm 60. Can anyone of you please tell me the process to do that. I will surely appreciate it. Also, how do one fund the Thai bank of the $20,000 USD? can I use my American bank to make a transfer into a Thai bank for the deposit of the visa requirements? can I apply for the non OA visa before coming there? I'm sorry for all the questions. I'm on a shortbus. I want to get everything situated before making that leap. thx in advance.

How easy or difficult is it to get a Thai driver's license?

Need some help with the TDAC. Trying to get it all filled in ahead of time then update again before we leave in that three day window. The problem I am having it keeps telling me my arrival date is invalid. Is this because we have not entered that 3 day window and I can not do it before then?

Also, I never got to the 3rd part which says health declaration??? What will I need to complete that part?
