Does *proof of funds* need to be a checking/savings (cash) account, or will they accept a brokerage account? Do funds need to be seasoned?

Most of my emergency fund is in $SWVXX.

Trying to figure out if I need to move cash into checking and eat the lost interest, or if brokerage statements are acceptable.

Approved in Hanoi! 🎉 4 full working days (Tues, Wed, Thurs, Mon) because of the holiday! Remote work application with ISSA company which I highly recommend using if you have a visa history like me. 4 years of Thailand visas (Covid extensions, and 3 education visas). No additional docs requested.

I know that people who use an agency for the visa sometimes get slated and told it's a waste of money and so easy to do yourself, but if you are someone who is looking for that, I used A&S Visa Services AllSabaai Thai and they were first class. I flew into Hanoi on Saturday and my visa was approved yesterday! I honestly expected to be here at least a week (booked two weeks) so to have the visa already is awesome. Sent the agency my arrival stamp when I landed at 1am on the 6th and got my approval email at 6pm last night (Dec 8th). Any questions, fire away. Will be happy to answer.

Hello, I plan to go to Vietnam in the 10th month of my first year on a non-immigrant OA visa. I will stay in Vietnam for 3 months. When I cross back into Thailand, will my visa expire? Or will it be renewed for a second year? Thank you.

Hi everyone, I need clarification about the flight requirement for the DTV visa.

I already booked a 7-day round-trip ticket to Thailand for my upcoming trip.

Some people say that for the DTV application, I must show an onward/exit flight 90 days after my arrival, not earlier.

Is this true?

Do I really need to provide a flight booking that is more than 90 days away,

or is my current 7-day round-trip ticket acceptable for the DTV pre-approval?

Has anyone successfully applied with a short-term return ticket (like 1 week or 10 days)?

Thanks in advance for your help!

S/EA consulates which accept brokerage statements

Hello, I’ve read about there being a hard rule with the proof of funds being required to be in a checking account. But as some consulates seemingly require different lengths of proof of funds, perhaps some are more willing to accept brokerage statements? Barring volatile assets, I currently have about 80k usd in mmf us government bonds (which has been held for longer than 3 months) and about 18k usd in a checking account for maturing in case securities aren’t allowed.

Thank you for your time and assistanceg
