Is there an approximate approval time for Non O Marriage Visa Extension?

Hi Everyone,

I’m in the process of applying for my first Non O Marriage Visa extension 

I took all the documents with my wife on Nov 27th to Phuket Town Immigration and they were accepted and I got a stamp to Jan 22nd 2026 in my passport.

The IO came to our house on Nov 29th and his colleague took photos of us in and around our house.

I was wondering if there was an approximate rough time for how long approval takes once it’s under processing?

hey Sammy I applied online through the Thai Embassy in London 🇬🇧

Just checking back on my messages to my wife it was one week

Even though they asked for a better copy of the marriage certificate and airline tickets

I’d forgotten and was surprised it was that quick! 😅

thanks for reply bro, I'm hiring Siam Legal in Bankok for marriage license, then marriage visa, they've been giving me free consultation thru emails, about $1200 US, for thier services, little costly but what heck eh, lol, again thanx 4 reply, Aloha frm Hawaii, 😀

Return to immigration on the date stamped in your passport and you get the extension stamped in. You can keep checking and maybe get it done early but in my experinece it doesnt get updated until a day or two before

It appears that you have an under consideration stamp till Jan 22nd. Return to immigration on that date for the full extension to be inked in.

The date stamped under consideration is the date it is scheduled to be complete.

Do as you are and check, when it says approved go in for the final stamp.

It may be done earlier, but more often than not it will be the date as stamped.

different offices have different time frames. Did you not get a stamp in your passport advising when to return to the IO for extension stamp?
