Just been to immigration near DMK airport, filled out forms for temporary residency certificate for Car/Bike Licence, all done.

No need for 90 day report ( not a requirement to obtain the temp certificate )

Have appointment booked with department of transport in 3 weeks.

Hello, I would like to know what is my best option do have a DTV ?

I am 30yo, do not have a work but have ~52 000 baht "income" everymonth.

Should I contact visa agency about my case ? I read many things on internet... dtv visa with muay thai... dtv with cooking lessons... dtv with dental treatment...

I really need a DTV visa because I almost got denied at the border ( too much visa exemption ) and I would like to live at least 50%/50% my country and thailand for my life.

About the other requirement, I have enough in my bank to meet their needs.

Thanks :)

Hello! I have a (possibly dumb) question for you all about multiple entries into Thailand.

I understood the 5 year multiple entries into Thailand as 10 x 180 day blocks. So, each time you enter you get another 180 days but it's possible for this to run out. I.e. if I come and go 11 times, that's the visa done.

However, my friend told me that we're good to come and go for a whole five years, and leaving just gets you another 180 days to stay. So in theory you can come and go as you please within a five year period.

I'd very much like what he said to be true - can someone more clued up than me confirm please?

I am going to do a border run for dtv and I would like to know how long do you need to wait before coming back in for anyone who has done it recently by going to Nong Khai?

Is having 500k Thai baht in a Thai bank ok for the dtv requirement?

Can it be 500k at one time or does it have to be present for 3-6 months please?

I’m currently in Thailand on an ED visa and I would be looking to change to DTV Muay Thai visa. Will probably go to Vietnam for processing

Thank you

Hello all, my wife and i are planning to move to phuket. She will work from home for an american hospital. I will not work as we will also have an income from 2 rental properties. Our plan is she gets the remote worker visa and that says it applies to spouse and kids. Do we need to show a bank balance of $30k or something first to be approved? Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a bit of visa advice. My wife is Thai (dual Thai/US citizenship and dual passports). We own a condo in Hua Hin and a few pieces of land, all of which are in her name since she's Thai. We visit occasionally (just returned from a 6 week visit) and plan to return to our condo for about 6 months starting next January. After that, we plan to visit more frequently and eventually we will probably want to live there permanently. Oh yes, I'm retired and neither of us is concerned about employment in Thailand; we just want to live there. Any suggestions regarding my visa?
