Hi,

A question about taxation -

We got the dtv visa a few months ago and been in Thailand ever since.

We also stayed in Thailand on a visa exemption a few months earlier this year.

So, by the end of the year we will exceed 180 days of stay in Thailand.

Will we have any tax duties?

Thank you

If Thailand implements the foreign income tax for expats who live in Thailand for longer than 1/2 the year, how many of you on DTV would stay longer than the 180days?

2 DTV questions

* I own some property in the U.S. that I rent out and manage (pay bills, arrange for maintenance) from Thailand. I have lease contracts from tenants I could show to demonstrate the income. It seems a stretch to call that income employment, What do you all think? Would I qualify for a digital nomad visa?

* I am age 66 and retired. Is there an unstated upper age limit for DTV? I plan to stay for 4 months this time. I want to set up a bank account, but don't want to put 800K baht in a bank in Thailand.

Thanks

I’m about to start my retirement renewal process next month after the first year. I have a pension income of 65,000+ baht going into my Bangkok bank months also the required bond in the bank for last 2 months so I have the option of both methods. What I’m worried about now if I use the pension proof ? Will it be taxed at 30% because it could be deemed an income. Most of this amount was tax exempt in UK due to tax threshold

Question for those receiving social security from the United States in Thailand Do you maintain a US address of record? Direct deposit to US Bank and then transfer to Thai bank? Trying to get things in order for my move in about 2 yrs.
