TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is applying for a muay thai visa at the Swedish embassy and states they indicated their employment status as unemployed while reporting income below 20,000 euro due to trading and dividends. The inquiry revolves around what type of contract or documentation is needed for the application. Community responses suggest writing an explanatory letter detailing the applicant's income sources, highlighting evidence of financial independence, and clarifying the understanding that they will not work in Thailand.

Anonymous participant More embassies are requesting Soft Power applicants submit financial evidence to show they can support themselves. Submit a letter detailing you get income via trading, monthly income deposits highlighted on a bank statement balance and if you have any additional savings Inc that. You can be given a 6mth visa if they are not satisfied of long term financial independence.

Write a letter as yourself and explain it. That’s what I would do. Also what I had to do as in self-employed.

Write a letter explaining how you earn money and that you will still be able to do that when you’re in Thailand

Also explain that you understand you’re not allowed to work there and that you have no sources of income from inside Thailand

Anonymous participant sounds like you are planning on working in Thailand to support yourself. Using the Muay Thai training school as a cover for your real reason to be in Thailand. ????

Anonymous participant they’ve asked you for the letter. One of the conditions of the visa is that you do not earn money from Thai sources. It’s good to let them know that you understand that.

Instead of trying to apply your own personal version of logic, just write the letter.

Looks like they want an employment letter, not a contract

Anonymous participant - a letter from your employer. If you don’t have one, some sort of letter showing how you will survive

Write a letter explaining your situation, since they can't put two and two together by themselves.
