My passport, which has my DTV linked to it, has a minor tear on the first page right after the bio-data section. This happened when airport staff flipped through the pages roughly. I was able to enter without issue, but I’m concerned the tear might worsen.

If I renew my passport and have the new one sent to Thailand, will I need to apply for a brand-new DTV from the start? Or can I continue to use the old, slightly damaged passport together with the new one until my current DTV expires? I’m aware the visa is tied to the old passport number, which won’t match the reissued passport.

Hi, my DTV application got rejected in HCMC yesterday. 5 working days, no additional documents asked.

I applied as Thai soft power, here are what I submitted:

1.Passport first page

2.Photo

3. Vietnam visa and stamp, Hotel confirmation, Boarding pass

4. Asset certificate for 1 year shows every month had more than 1M THB (under financial products category, not deposit), A copy of Chinese ID card(I thought only the ID number was needed, didn’t do the translation), Two motorcycle green book copies (I have tow motorcycles in Chiangmai)

5. Thai soft power 6 months course related documents.

And about the basic information I had put in, for the home address part, I thought they were asking for the address I am staying in Vietnam, so I wrote my hotel address and one more address in my country (China)

Now I want to try again in Laos, hope I can get some advice about what I did wrong.

Thank you

My husband and I are FINALLY heading back to Thailand after 3 weeks. Approved in Jakarta

My visa was approved in 8 days total with two separate requests for additional docs.

For families only one person is required be the main holder for workcation or soft power. Which simplifies the application process and saves money. We opted for me to take the cooking course that I’ve been so eager to take.

My husband’s DTV was approved 10 days after mine. Provided a sponsorship letter about intended long term tourism, contribution to economy and his remote studies.

Soft power: House of Taste Thai Cooking School, Bangkok (Cost $560 USD/6 months) Easy process, they provided documents within 2 hours.

I did not use their agent service.

Funds were seasoned for the required amount of time listed on the site.

* it is not necessary to stay directly in Jakarta as long as you remain in Indonesia. If called for an interview then you would travel to Jakarta.

** entered DMK with printed DTV and TDAC. Stamped for 6 months. No hassle.

Requested TM30 from our landlord and they provided it immediately with no problem.

Good luck to everyone. This group has been SUPER HELPFUL.

Passport place of issuance

I have a French passport that was issued by a French embassy outside of France.

What shall I put as place of issuance?

I have read that some people put the country of origin and others put the embassy from which they received their passport. Really confusing 🤯

Question 1: Once I enter initially on a workation DTV, do I need to submit a TM-30 within a day or two? Question 2: Do I need to border bounce on day 180, or do I need to border bounce on day 179? When I re-enter the 180 day clock starts over, right? Or do I need to check in with immigration every 30 days?

Question: Any Malaysians applied for the DTV via Vietnam? Can’t find specific requirement for Malaysians - the website seems to highlight some countries which require additional documents – and if not listed, ‘recommended’ to apply in their home countries.

Any advice appreciated!

Good morning,

I’m curious if any families that have successfully received their DTV, if you were able to show 500,000 for the whole family vs per person and if so where? My friend got her families approved in Cambodia in July but I’m just curious if there was anywhere else.

No embassy has answered my inquiry emails back yet 😅

Hi. Do I need to do a 90-day report if I am leaving the country in just one week? I'm on a DTV. I did my first 90-day report in person, but since I did it a few days early, I was given a second 90-day report date that is one week before my DTV stay-permit expires. Just now, I tried to do the 90-day report online but it was rejected for some reason. Do I really have to make this report if it's just for 7 more days? I will be departing by train next week, the day my stay-permit expires. Thanks.
