Regarding the 500K that is in the bank account in order to qualify for the visa, are there any restrictions as to when / if this can be withdrawn ?

I have two questions regarding the bank statements:

- Translation: Saw that most people translated their own bank statements. I am in touch with a cooking school and they said to have the statements translated by a certified translation agency (I know that it is recommended on the website of the Thai embassy). As it's rather expensive, I thought of going the route like most people - translating myself. What is the overall recommendation?

- Date: How recent should the statements be? I read 7 days and elsewhere 3 days...

Scan of passport & Flight Confirmation

From what I read, quite a few people have been asked to hand in the scan of their complete passport, including the blank pages, but only after they applied.

Would you recommend to wait for the embassy to ask for the scan of the complete passport or would you send it directly with the application?

Do I need a flight confirmation? If yes, only one way or return flight?

I plan to apply from Vietnam.

Interview for DTV

I plan to apply for DTV soft power and hope to get it in one go, but it seems that some people have been interviewed.

For the people who have been interviewed, what kind of questions are asked during the interview?

I’ve made the mistake of letting my bank balance slip below 500k for the most recent statement date.

There was an emergency room visit bill that needed the funds.

Now, I’ve replenished the money above 500k, but it doesn’t show in the last statement.

Will I be able to show the current balance of my personal bank as well as investment account? Along with an explanation?

Or will my application be rejected?

2. My wife is here with me for 10ys with a dependant visa. She got her own bank acct with 800k. What is the process of getting a retirement visa?

Arriving 21/09, on 60 day visa exempt .

Have not booked onward travel out of Thailand yet as dates are uncertain .

My question is what do I fill in on the electronic arrival card, re onward travel please ?

Must specify have visited many times before and never overstayed if that helps .
