Hello everyone, and first of all, apologies if this has been asked multiple times already. I have a question regarding the DTV visa for Thailand: you need to show proof of 500,000 THB. Do these 500,000 THB need to be in the account every month (for example, a balance of 500,000 THB in January, 500,000 THB in February, 500,000 THB in March), or is it enough to have had a total of 500,000 THB in the account over a period, such as from January to March? Cause a visa agency here who help me with border run told me that Option 2 is the true One, but chatgpt says Option 1 so pls I Need help😅😂 cause in total i had the last 3 months on my Bank Account almost 900.000 thb( its before i pay taxes and the salary from my workers etc) 😅

I am coming up on 6 months, I’m in Koh Tao! If I want to extend and not leave the county and come back in do I have to show proof of 500,000THB again? And more Mauy Thai classes (soft power visa on the island)

Please let me know

As I don’t currently have the 500k anymore (sorry trolls - I did have it and now I don’t)

Please only comment helpful things😄

Has anyone been in the same situation in Koh Tao and gone to immigration to do this? Pls lmk!

I can do a border run just don’t want to really if it can be avoided

Thanks x

Question that I wasn’t quite able to find the answer to on my own- I know you need about 500k THB when applying, but if you leave the country and then return do they check your account for the 500k? Not an extension, but leaving and reentering before the 180 day mark.

I currently have two personal bank accounts where I usually keep around USD 5,000 in each. I also have a third personal investment account with approximately USD 200,000 in stocks.

In addition, I hold shares in two LLCs: 33% in one company and 50% in another. The bank accounts of both companies have maintained an average balance of around USD 100,000 over the past 12 months.

What I am not fully clear about is whether the requirement is strictly 500,000 THB in a single personal bank account, or if it is acceptable to demonstrate overall financial capacity by showing multiple personal accounts, investment holdings, and company accounts.

In other words, would it be necessary to transfer and keep 500,000 THB in one personal account for a certain period before applying, or could presenting diversified financial evidence (personal accounts, stocks, and company ownership) be sufficient?

Thank you in advance for your clarification.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered however i have just spent the last 30 mins looking. I am looking at the DTV as an option, can someone confirm::

1, Do i need to have the 500k bht in my account each time i enter Thailand ie is there a possibility it will be checked?

2, after 1 year do i need an extension or is it valid for 5 years? The info here is confusing, my issue is if i am not in Thailand on the anniversary i would need to make another trip to renew every year?

Thanks,

Can i show them my Binance Account where they can see my portfolio, or the money must be in a bank account?

Hello has anybody recently had any issues at the airport with them asking to show the 500,000 THB, that was needed for qualification is still in your bank account? I’ve heard multiple people saying they had issues at the airport with this and was just curious if everybody was experiencing this?

Is there any actual requirement for how long the 500,000THB must be in your account for? I’m seeing nothing online about there having to be a strict time frame however it seems they’re less likely to accept if less payslips? Thanks for your help!

Good morning,

I’m curious if any families that have successfully received their DTV, if you were able to show 500,000 for the whole family vs per person and if so where? My friend got her families approved in Cambodia in July but I’m just curious if there was anywhere else.

No embassy has answered my inquiry emails back yet 😅
