Documents prepared.

1. Work Portfolio

- Cover letter explaining why I want to apply DTV and my remote work is completely outside of Thailand.

- Recommendation letter from my employer to work remotely in Thailand also indicating I won't do any kind of employment or business locally

- Notarized employment contract and Company registration

- Screenshot of Company website and link to website

2. Financial evidence

- 6 months of Bank statements with highlighted salary transactions + Salary payslips (although I heard 3 months is enough)

- Currency conversion to THB (screenshot of conversion tool in Google search)

3. Proof of location

- Flight ticket & Hotel booking (Vientiane)

- Laos eVisa and entry stamp

- House contract in Bangkok

- latest TM30

Arrived Laos on weekends, submitted application and received payment QR.

Next day - went to Embassy and paid visa fee in person (beforehand print out the QR and go early if you want to avoid long queue). Received document check status in the afternoon.

Next day - pending approval status.

Next day - received email to come for interview (interview date is a week later)

Enjoy vacation for the week and then go to interview and received eVisa the next day.

For the interview, just got asked a few questions about my work experiences and previous travel history. Also asked me to show my mobile application and confirmed the bank account profile and my salary transactions.

The process as a whole is quite smooth, thanks to the previous posts with helpful information.

I'm going to apply for a dtv in Muay Thai. Please tell me the Muay Thai gym where I can get a dtv among the places close to On Nut. And where should I get a visa between Laos and Vietnam?

Hi all, just looking for some clarification on the Thai E-Visa website. I'm applying for the Non-O Visa based on marriage at the Thai Consulate in Savannakhet. I am currently in Thailand.

On the E-Visa website on step 4, "Supporting Documents", it asks for "Document indicating current location".

Would this be where I upload the Laos Visa once I enter Laos? Or would this be my current Thai location, such as my TM.30?

Appreciate any guidance.

Hi, got a question on border run as i am planning to do a same day exit and re enter from Huay xai laos. Will there be a problem if i enter laos in the morning to have lunch then drive back into Thailand after the lunch.

Is there a bus go from Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong and return back to Chiang Mai the same day? I want to do boarder run to Laos

I've just submitted my application in Laos.

I know you have to go to the embassy to pay in cash.

My question is after submitting my application do I just go ahead to the embassy to make payment or do I wait on an email telling me to go pay?

Heading to Laos tmrw for my DTV just wondering as I’m 30 km out of Bangkok if the local banks carry USD

If I'm going to Laos, especially if it's to apply for a DTV visa, can I just go by bus? To get a visa on entry, they say one needs to have a return ticket already booked, and the same goes for the Thai embassy in Laos when applying for DTV.

My question: can this return ticket simply be a return bus ticket? Or does it necessarily have to be a plane ticket? And if so, please explain why. I need answers from people who have a clear answer from someone who knows, not someone who's just guessing and think they know.

Hi all. Anyone been to Laos recently? My last visit was pre covid, so wondering how things work currently.

According to my (Danish) ministry of foreign affairs, it should still be possible to obtain a visa on arrival aside from the evisa option
