Apologies in advance if redundant, but when you need to show the 500k THB for the DTV e-visa, does that need to be in a Thai bank account or, are you showing the equivalent amount in a US bank account for example? Thank you.

Just applied in Hanoi for the DTV via the E Visa (Muay Thai) Here are the documents they asked from me:

- Passport Bio data page

- Passport photo within the last 6 months (took a selfie and changed to a white background using canva)

- proof of current location ( I merged 2 pdfs using Acrobat showing my arrival stamp in Vietnam and my hotel confirmation from Agoda)

- Finanical evidence of no less than 500,000 THB (I showed 6 months bank statements from the 25th of May- 25th of November with a closing balance of around 560,000 THB)

- Letter of invitation/ confirmation of attending the soft power activity (I showed the pdf Tiger eye Muay Thai provided me confirming I will be training there, they addressed it to the Hanoi embassy)

Submitted yesterday and paid now just waiting in Hanoi, time to enjoy myself and hope it all works out 🙏

Any questions just ask away I’ll be happy to help answer them

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS

IMMIGRATION HOLIDAYS DECEMBER & JANUARY

All immigration offices in the country will be closed the following days

Thursday - Dec 5th

Tuesday - Dec 10th

Monday - Dec 30th

Tuesday - Dec 31st

Wednesday - Jan 1st

That means at the end of December the last day you can go to immigrations this year will be Friday the 27th of December and the next day they will be open will be Thursday the 2nd of January 2025.

PLAN ACCORDINGLY

As always if your current stamp expires on a date the immigration office is closed (weekend or holidays) and you go the very next day they are open you can get your extension like normal, you will not be fined for the overstay, but you will get a stamp that says "overstay xxx days fine waived due to closure"

Also land entry points (borders) do not close on holidays 🙂

I am inquiring about the DTV for dependents. While I have researched the necessary documents, I would appreciate information from someone who has experience with the process about the requirements for dependent applications.

Do Tax Free Savings Account (Canada) work to show as proof of funds? In my bank statements it is under "investments", but in fact I can withdraw money from it.

was denied Dtv (new york); i guess owning and renting out and managing real estate isn’t considered remote work as a “digital nomad.” even though everything is done from my phone and internet……… they replied that they can offer a multiple entry tourist visa. should i go for that, and can i re-apply after 6 months for another 6 months and keep repeating? or should i apply for soft power thru a MT fighting class? anyone have any opinions or suggestions? thanks

Related to my last post, can I get by for 1 year without having a bank account in Thailand? Use a xfer service like Wise or western union?

My money goes to my Philippine bank and is in pesos..

I'll be on a tourist visa and will rent.

Thank you

Good evening :)

On a multi-entry tourist visa and about to hit 60 days in the kingdom. Plan to do a border bounce down at Satun to get the next 60 days. I'm curious if I should expect an additional fee at the border for going in and out in one day. I was told by others that they were charged, but they were bouncing on a visa exempt, so I wasn't sure if it would apply to METV or not.

If there is a fee, is it unique to Satun? Would bouncing at Sadao make any difference? Thanks.
