What alternatives exist for proving an income of 40,000 baht per month for a Non-O marriage visa in Thailand instead of depositing 400,000 baht in a bank?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To prove a monthly income of 40,000 baht for a Non-O marriage visa instead of maintaining a 400,000 baht deposit, you typically need to show income from a work permit in Thailand. Some immigration offices may accept other proofs such as an affidavit from your embassy, although many embassies do not provide this service. If an affidavit isn't an option, the common workaround is to initially deposit the 400,000 baht in a Thai bank and then demonstrate the monthly income for any future extensions.

Most embassies don't provide affidavit services, I know the UK one doesn't, and I'm pretty sure the US one doesn't either. But don't quote me on that. It's why 90% go the 400k route.

You asked this a month or so back and the answer hasnt changed. Some immigration offices will not allow the 40k deposit method unless you're employed in Thailand, the ones that will, will only accept an embassy affidavit for the first extension. If your embassy (like most now) won't issue an income affidavit then you will need to put the 400k into a bank for the first extension then transfer 40k+ per month every month for the second extension.

You asked the same question back on September 12th, you received the correct answers back then, review the comments you received then, nothing has changed since then.

Do you have a work permit in Thailand? If so they will approve your income.

It’s known that at some immigrations it can be difficult to be allowed to prove income pension/income from abroad unless your embassy in Bangkok also provides you a affidavit letter. So you either need to prove income earned in Thailand or provide a affidavit letter to avoid banking the 400K baht.
