Hi guys, im applying for the dtv and im curious if someone can confirm i will get it. I’m building a website which will possibly bring in some revenue in a few months perhaps longer. So I’m applying for the visa based on that, from ChatGPT it said I should get it as I have savings - around 300k AUD I can show so I suppose Thailand would be happy to take me in? Can anyone confirm if a business currently making 0 will get approval as they can stay and have the $ to build it over time? Thanks. Just hoping I can get some people saying yes and no crazy obstacles or no point paying with a no.

Can you help me quickly? My wife is applying for a DTV visa in Laos or Malaysia, and once she gets it, I'd like to apply for a DTV visa as her spouse. What other documents do I need for my application? We only have our marriage certificate in German 😬 Do we need to have it certified in English? Or is a translation sufficient? It's all a bit chaotic right now. I hope you can help.

Hello, can anyone help to answer some questions?

I see that immigration has changed the policy lately. I’m only allowed to do 2 visa runs per year, is it true?

I’ve done 3 visa runs in 2025. If I apply for a DTV now, would I be rejected due to the visa run history?

How many days of 2025 will you have spent in Thailand by the end of the year?

Even though the visa grants a 180-day stay with each entry, is there a kind of unofficial upper limit on the number of days spent in the country that makes de facto resident status interpretable?

My visa was approved as a remote worker. I work for my long-standing EU employer in my rented flat in Thailand with two screens, a LAN connection and a fixed desk. Leaving the country regularly is not realistic.

By the end of the year, I will have spent about 315 days in this country. Next year, I plan to return to my home country for 1-3 months, in addition to a shorter stay in a neighbouring country.

How should I enter Thailand with a DTV? My passport is by default visa free and I can stay up to 60days but I got a DTV anyway. Do I need to present my DTV together with my passport upon entering at the immigration?

I just don’t wanna get accused of overstaying.

I'm planning to apply from Da Nang to the HCM consulate! I'm flying there soon, but wanted to get started early on getting everything together. Can I make an account, and start uploading everything, save it, and then when I get to Da Nang hit submit? Or will that cause problems and should I just wait.

I’ve just found out I should have really applied for a Non O retirement visa before I got there. Flying Monday. I was planning to convert my tourist visa to Non O in Thailand and open a bank account just to park the 800k.

I already have a Thai bank account but would it be cleaner to have a short holiday in Thailand, then fly up to Laos and apply up there?

Good morning all, thanks for the ad 🙏

Asked to join as I’d seen someone talk about getting this visa, using property income in the uk as the reason to apply

I don’t have a big portfolio, but enough to get by.

Would be great to hear from anybody who’s used rental property in uk to apply for the dvt visa.

TIA for any advice.
