How should I enter Thailand with a DTV? My passport is by default visa free and I can stay up to 60days but I got a DTV anyway. Do I need to present my DTV together with my passport upon entering at the immigration?

I just don’t wanna get accused of overstaying.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To enter Thailand with a DTV visa, you should present both your DTV visa and your passport at immigration. Although you have visa-free access allowing a 60-day stay, showing your DTV is necessary to ensure proper entry under the conditions of that visa. Additionally, when filling out the TDAC form, include your DTV visa number and have it printed for reference. This process is essential to avoid any issues with overstaying.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Like any country, if you have a visa, you present it at immigration when you enter, to be let in under the conditions of that visa. People are being critical because this seems pretty common sense. I see you are Singaporean. Even if you are entitled to visa-free access to visit the USA or the UK, but say you have a work visa, or a marriage spousal visa, that allows a long stay or residency, don't you think you would naturally present that visa, rather than be stamped in for a short stay like a tourist?

Thanks. Well, guess I’m spoilt with the visa-free entitlement which not everyone here has experienced. But everything has a first time.

Do you realise the visa-free entitlement to enter almost any country does not mean you can use it to stay in any country long term or as a resident? You seem to think your Singaporean passport means you can just go move to the USA or France or anywhere else. The point is that people get visas that fit the purpose and length of their intended stay. So if you got such a long stay visa, of course you must make sure immigration officers grant you entry via that visa versus just as a visa-free short term visitor. Also, as others pointed out, almost all DTV visa holders will be from one of the 93 countries (the extremely vast majority of visitors to Thailand) that get visa-exempt entry already to Thailand. Your Singaporean passport is not that special when it comes to entry to Thailand, despite what you think. It's no better than passports from Guatemala, Fiji, Ecuador, Tonga, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Philippines, Kosovo, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Jordan, and many other countries that you probably assume your nationality is better than.

- you do realize citizens from 93 countries can enter Thailand visa-free? I would argue that a majority of DTV holders come from these 93 countries as well.

you are obviously a bit naive about this. You think it’s ‘powerful’ because you read it one day. But you have no idea what the differences are.

people ask these dumb questions for attention only, you see it all the time.

He would not have been granted a DTV outside of his country if he was that stupid.
