100% agree. I like fb for recommendations for travel places, share experiences or history but fb isn’t where I go to get official information regarding visas, taxes, etc.
That said there are some extremely helpful and accurate people such as
I just arrived on my initial Non-O retirement visa and to get the residence certificate from immigration to open my bank account they required the TM-30 which the Airbnb owner was gladly willing to do. While you may not need the certificate of residence for a bank account you might need it to extend your visa for 12 months- ymmv!
frauds is a felony…..at least in the U.S. Perhaps here in Thailand as well — perhaps you should take all your documents to immigration and see if they can assist!
the same thing took place in Panama for years till they finally implemented a law limiting time to six months then you had to be out of Panama for I think 6 - 12 months unless you had some type of official visa — never ending border hopscotch Costa Rica stopped.
Thailand would be best served to implement something official like Panama or Schengen Countries of EU (US Immigration isn’t any better than Thailand)
Actually he is following the system. Nothing apparently is in writing which states how many times you can come in; how long you have to leave Thailand before returning; and it is all up to the IO you meet. If they wanted to do it correctly they would put clear requirements which could be understood and followed.
