Hi All. My wife and I are returning to Thailand from Canada next week; we've been away from Thailand for 6 mos. Must we both fill out TDAC or just me as my wife is Thai? Many thanks.

This brings to light a bigger problem that seems to be happening to travellers regularly. Scams . Let me point out, you would have to live on the moon to not know the regulations regarding TDAC. But yet the same questions are asked and people fill it out on scam sites and pay money. Despite all the warnings people still pay deposits and buy products on Facebook and send payments to people they have never met, Tour companies real estate agents and the list goes on. They sign lease agreements without even knowing the cost of utilities then complain on Facebook about how high their electricity bills are. All these things can be avoided, A few minutes of research could save us all a lot of pain in the long-run. The information is all there at ones finger tips, and I don't mean Facebook with everyone's conflicting opinions . We live in wonderful times where information is a few clicks away.

of course asking a question on Facebook is a much better idea than say actually looking up TDAC and finding the answer on a valid government website! Amazing what people do!!

Of course Facebook has its benefits but looking up important facts might not be one of them. Personally I use it to sharpen my writing skills before I forget. Could you imagine how many people wouldn't have been ripped off if they only took the time to research.Dennis *********

100% agree. I like fb for recommendations for travel places, share experiences or history but fb isn’t where I go to get official information regarding visas, taxes, etc. That said there are some extremely helpful and accurate people such as

Someone with a Thai passport doesn't need a TDAC. Anyone without a Thai passport does.
