You can and likely should get it done now. I went to Jomtien immigration on Tuesday to get my Visa information/re-entry permit transferred. They made copies of parts of my old and new passport that they needed. Spent no more than 10 minutes there. Picked up my new passport at the specific time (10 AM) two business days later that they told me to come. Everything was there including my multi-entry permit and there was no charge. Was in and out in less than 3 minutes. ไม่มีปัญหา Mai mii penha.. not have a problem. I was surprised that they had already used 2 pages of my new passport with at least 7 stamps for all the information.
If you have a lease, take the lease to immigration. You may be able to submit the TM30 without the landlord signing. I have submitted a TM30 twice and both times Immigration did not require the landlord to sign when I provided the lease.
Wed morning at 11:00 ( just before the gate closes) to request Visa and Thursday late afternoon to pick up Visa. Stay away from Monday and Thursdays to obtain your visa as these are the van visa run days.
I went to Pro Language for one year plus and am very familiar with AUA. Do you have any experience with ABC? Thinking of improving my Thai language skills.
They specifically asked the statements to be notarized? The purpose of a notary is to attest to the authenticity of a document. How could the US consulate do that? There is no place on a bank statement for you to sign your name. Incidentally, I paid $300 to the US embassy to notarize the 6 documents for the sale of my former house. It took them less than 5 minutes.
Why can’t he just go on line and get a statement from his bank or his retirement (IRA, 401K) accounts or his social security checks. When I got my retirement visa in Washington DC, I just submitted a statement from my IRA and the Thai embassy accepted that.
