Hello

I have a problem and maybe you can help.

I have a student visa.

I heard that the immigration won't stamp my passport next time because there's no more student visa for Israelis.

Can you help me with information?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned that their student visa may not be stamped again, as they heard that there are no longer student visa extensions available for Israeli citizens. Comments clarify that no official announcements have been made by Thai immigration or the Ministry of Education regarding a ban on visa extensions for Israeli students. The issue seems to be more related to specific schools rather than a nationwide policy.

Try Pro Language school. It is on Klang near PLC. I like their textbooks better than PLC’s textbooks.

There is NOTHING that has been announced by the Ministry of Education or the Thai Immigration Dept about any nationality not being able to get extensions on ED visas for studying here.

I would say it is TOTALLY related to the specific school you are going to and NOT a country wide policy.

I spoke to two schools in Bangkok who have both chinese students and students from the middle east too, neither school said their students have a problem getting their extensions.

Some schools are already giving back a partial refund to students saying it's the immigration decision

Yossi Naim not only PLC. Many Chinese ED visa were denied and repatriated to China. They are from different language school in Pattaya. I asked them before they left. Some did not go to have class. All of them did not know they should go to Bangkok royal police for collecting fingerprint and hand over immigration. I think this is the school’s responsibility.

I am also from PLC. The school gave us some documents to Bangkok royal office to collect fingerprint. You must go there. After 2 weeks go to take fingerprint documents. Immigration need it. It is very important.

Thank you very much for that information.

I see that you are from pattaya which is where my school is located.

I am longer live there but I still have to apply for extension in pattaya immigration (for my understanding,if you know otherwise please let me know)

I am Chinese. Yes. Many Chinese ED visa can not get extend ED visa. Many Chinese with ED visa were denied to extend and returned to China. I do not how about Israelis. I asked my school. If you go to school for class and have class record (sign name every time)and take photos when you are in class every time. And go to Bangkok royal police to collect the fingerprint. Take back the fingerprint documents, hand over it to the immigration. Then you can get extend ED visa.

Right ok so you don't have a one year visa. You applied initially for a 3 month single entry non ED visa at an overseas consulate. Your permission of stay has been extended a few times since then by receiving 3 month extensions of stay. After a certain number of extensions, roughly totalling 8 months, Immigration will not extend further. Then you have to restart the process by applying for another single entry non ED overseas, and go to Level 2 of studies.

@Luke *******
,I have a one year visa and and I never had problems before.

are you saying that I should do it by myself instead of let the school handle that for Me?

@Yossi *****
You do what you should have done in the first place. Take the pile of docs from school, visit Immigration and apply for an extension?

Yossi Naim Well if this is really the case I would wait till you get some decent advice here from one of the mods in the first place... maybe that won't happen tonight but soonest in the morning,... nothing much you can do since it's weekend anyway.

Well,my friend got a call from the school and was asked to come and take his passport because the decision is already made.I told him that it's got to be a mistake but when he got a partial refund I knew that it's serious.

I don't know what to do...

@Yossi *****
Really? WTF! Why? Is this policy endorsed/backed by the Thai "government"? Do you have any hard evidence to back this up or is it hearsay?
