The banks will take them but maybe not all of them, i have seen in lotus in Bahg Phli the coin machine that you said about. Also my local coner shop took some of the coins as long as you count and mark the bag with how much.

ok thanks, so say after 2 months he goes out for a month then comes back he would then get 90 days again. So let's say 60 days in Thailand 30 days in Vietnam then come back into Thailand would he get 90 days again

To fly he needs to go back up the Bangkok, as Hua Hin airport at the moment is only flying to Chiang Mai

He's off to Vietnam next week then back for the last 4 weeks of his holiday

No he's never done a border run it was just a thought.

That's what he's doing at the moment, he's off to Vietnam next week for a month. But he thought he could get a 6 month visa. So at present the 60 day visa exempt is still in force. So just say next year it's still 60 days he could do a border run from Hua Hin. But I think the METV is his best bet knowing how he is with paperwork
