TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster faced rejection for their first online 90-day reporting after completing their previous in-person report. Comments highlight various experiences, emphasizing the importance of timing for submissions, particularly the new rules about reporting within a specific timeframe and potential issues with the online system. Several users suggest that first-time reporting after a trip must be done in person and that mistakes in information provided can lead to rejection. Suggestions and alternatives include submitting early or using mail for reliability.

I’ve been denied twice in two years—once for applying too early and once for leaving the country, which reset the process. Thankfully, I have plenty of time now to walk to immigration and enjoy people-watching.
Hopefully now I've got the right info I can do it right and not have to go to immigration till I need to renew it next year for another year

I never have my 90 day report rejected on line now. I always do tm30 registration directly before 90 day so the addresses are sure to match. If the addresses do not match then your 90 day report will be rejected. The system us working much better than it used to.

You can only apply 7 days before or up to 3 days after the due date, and make sure your entry date is correct.
I think I read the wrong information as I just read it again on the website, I do state 15 days before and up to 7 days after but I think this is in-person, when I clicked to link for online report it does as you say only say 15 days in advance. Noted for next time. It didn't cost anything to do it in the office but cost me 1500thb as it's right next to the fresh fish market and we came home with lots of crab, shrimp and squid.

Funny enough I just had the same, from Jomtien. It's my first 90-day report since returning from a long weekend in Penang. As usual I did it on-line. They rejected it because my first one after returning has to be in person.
just been to IMMIGRATION office and the lady said can only do it online from 15 days before and not at all after the due date, that's different from what it says online
oh that is different from what it says! Mine is actually due on 28 December, 12 days from now, but with holidays coming I decided to do it early. I'll just pop to Jomtien later this week (NOT FRIDAY!) Plus the email specifically said its because it is my first 90 day report since last arriving in Thailand
Yes first 90 report is in person the next ones are online if it works for you.

I can only suggest you have obviously/maybe entered incorrect information? I have just done my 90 day online after being out of the country (did have a re-entry on my visa) and changing address since my return , being assured and have photos that my new TM 30 has been done. My previous online applications were accepted so this could be interesting! My agent only charges 100 baht for 90 day reporting so if I have a problem I'll be straight down their office.
Been here 3 years, only ever worked twice with online check-in, it's a joke.

I just submitted mine about 5 days ago, which was 10 days before it was due. It came back rejected. I also submitted it again a day later to have the same thing happen. I just tried to submit it a third time, but haven't heard anything yet. A friend of mine had the same thing happen to him about a month ago. I never had so much trouble before. What the hell is going on?
I tried it on the 6th and it came up with something reference not due yet do you still want to send it, not sure exactly the wording, so I waited till after the 9th. Just been on there website and it says 15 days before or and 7 days after
No I did it yesterday 13th when I tried to do it on the 7th it came up on there site something like not ready or not sue yet, but paperwork say report on the 9th Dec
some offices now only allow you to report online from 14 days before the due date to 7 days before the due date. None of them will allow you to report online after the due date. You'll need to go in person again
