Some advice please.

I am looking at flight back to BKK and i can get a few flights up till the 17th Nov. Now on my passport i have a single re-entry stamp with the out date and return date of the 18th Nov, now the 18th Nov is this ok to enter up till 23.59 on the 18th or is it 23.59 on the 17th Nov.

I don't want to get there on the 18th in the evening and they say you should have entered by 23.59 on the 17th Nov.

Any advice is grateful.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can enter Thailand up to 23:59 on November 18th with your single re-entry stamp. However, be aware that if you arrive on that date, you may not have a valid visa or extension of stay, as your current permission will expire at that time. It's recommended to ensure your visa status is maintained; otherwise, you may need to apply for a new visa upon arrival.

Get a flight a few days before the 18th. Getting a flight might not be a problem.

if I get there say 16th or 17th then what
James ********
It probably is BEST for you to arrive a week before November 18th to gather the requirements for the One year extension of stay.

@Gerald *******
read the replies. You will have to gather the requirements for the One year extension of stay and then go to Thai Immigration office and apply for it.

Needs to be 16th as flight gets in late
Graham ******
You need to enter (stamped in) by 23:59 on the 18-Nov to maintain your current status
James ********
@Graham *****
his reentry permit matches the ending date of his current status
Graham ******
@James *******
yes, so if it's a multi-entry Visa he'll get another entry stamp
James ********
@Graham *****
his stamp shows it to be a One year extension of stay as retired.

only single entry

you can't get a re-entry permit on a multiple entry visa during the validity of the visa.

YES you can enter Thailand up to midnight on November 18th....

BUT the MORE important question is...

Your Re-entry permit matches the date of your current ending date of your Thai Visa and or Extension of Stay in Thailand. .

Which means you do not have any visa or extension of stay upon arrival November 18th..

And have to start all over the process of getting the Thai Visa and extension of stay to stay in Thailand.

If you choose to wait until the last day of your current permission to stay date,

You will be stamped in for 30 days as Visa Exempt Entry.

I believe that the OP has the answers to his question. We wish him success in obtaining the needed visa and extension of stay as retired. Safe travels ✈️

Thanks All for the helpful replies 👍

Gerald ... Suggest you enter Thailand Visa EXEMPT AFTER NOVEMBER 18TH....

And get 30 days stamp plus one 30 day extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office.

Then visit your local Thai Immigration office and ask for their list of requirements for the Non O Visa as a retiree and the One year extension of stay as retired.

Just fly to Thailand and enter Visa Exempt.

Ok thanks for the info i think this is going to be the best stress free way and me and the wife can go to immigration at a later date to find out what needs to be done, Thanks again have a good day/night
James ********
@Gerald *******
do you have a Thai wife? Your current extension is based on retirement not as Married to Thai. Which is okay...as many choose to use the retiree choice vs married to Thai

your extension of stay as retired in Thailand ends November 18th.

You will have to start all over once again to get the Non O Visa as retired and the One year extension of stay as retired.

@James *******
on 19 November basically he's a tourist

@James *******
So I will not get another 12 months stamp (This is what I thought I would get)
James ********
@Gerald *******
NO, you will NOT get another 12 MONTHS upon entry into Thailand.

You have to go to your local Thai Immigration office to make application for the one year extension of stay as retired.

These are the common found requirements for the one year extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office

@James *******
