No. Visa-exempt (no visa) is 60 days. Visa on Arrival (VOA) is for some other countries.

I didn’t assume I was doing anything wrong. She asked for my onward ticket and I gave it to her. What would I challenge?

That won’t help you in the unlikely event the Immigration Officer asks for one. Some people “rent” a real ticket out of Thailand from onwardticket.com or one of their competitors. I think they are about $15US and automatically cancelled after a couple of days.

There’s no official limit of entries per year. It’s up to the Immigration Officer you get.

Three weeks ago, when I landed at Phuket, the Immigration Officer asked me for my onward ticket. Fortunately, I had one. Had I not had one, she probably would have frowned on me leaving the line and booking one. I understand this is a rare occurrence, but it happened to me.

Three weeks ago, I arrived visa-exempt from the US and the Immigration Officer at HKT asked me for my onward ticket. Fortunately, I had one.

First time for me to be asked at an airport.
