For entry into USA, you can use either the PCR or rapid antigen test. The rapid antigen cannot be a self test. The airlines will want paperwork from a hospital, clinic or medical office. They will also want to see the vaccination certificate. Depending on the airline(s) you fly to USA, you will show the paperwork in BKK and probably in Incheon.
As long as the BKK-ICN-SFO route is one ticketed itinerary and you are only transiting Inchon to SFO, you need to only have a PCR or ATK test no sooner than one day prior to your departure flight from BKK. The airlines will only check to make sure you have the testing paperwork per USA requirements.
Entering USA requires a PCR or rapid test (viral test) done the day before the flight. Doesn't have to be within 24 hours just the day before the flight.
I was also rejected on Dec 24 after applying just before the deadline because the hotel date didn't match the arrival date. I corrected the hotel confirmation and sent an email to the support@ email address and on Dec 25 received the approval. Bottom line, doesn't hurt to ask for reconsideration correcting whatever they said was wrong.
Found out I was rejected today as arrival date didn't match hotel check in date. I arrive 8 Jan at 0005 and booked hotel for 7 Jan. Oh well, guess its AQ time 😂
