for a 3 week holiday. Just to be relaxed, I already made the Thailand Pass for 23th of June. I mean why wait. What I read concerning the removal of the Thailand Pass, is that the removal is planned for Thai nationals. 1 August also for foreigners. BUT these are only plans. Absolutely nothing sure yet. , ???? STV (Special Tourist Visa) is only valid for 90 days in Thailand, not 1 year !! You can extend it 2 times with 2 times 90 days and that's it. And indeed, for now, it ends in September (2022) as

Tourist visa BEFORE you come back to Thailand ofcourse. So in y'r plan, in Malaysia. Maybe less hastle to just come in on visa exempt 30 days and extend it in Thailand as Wayne says...(Nice holiday by the way. No mandatory school for the kids in the Netherlands nowadays

Sorry, never heard nor read about it. (but that's not holy 😉) I think you mean year extentions based on "O" visa ? Grandfathered amounts are only from a certain (high) age.

And I think Charlie, when coming in with a tourist visa, you have to get a re-entry permit before you leave Thailand for outside Thailand trips ! This because a Tourist visa normaly is Single Entry. However there ARE Multi entry Tourist visas.
