this is typical of people getting visa don't have a clue. Hence why agents are required for these people even can't get a bike or car Thai licence on their own
no it's not if you have a DTV it's multiple entry for 5 years you can come and go as you like. You talking without knowledge. Everytime you come back your 180 days is reset and no need to show any other paperwork . Just make sure the officer stamps your 180 days. That's the beauty of this visa and that's why everyone wants it now even Ed and retirement people are changing
Depends where you are but your options are not just flying you can leave and return at any border crossing, plane bus train boat walk again look at where you are located at the time and how long you want to stay out for. I would just go out and come back to get the stamp but if you really want to visit somewhere plan its your choice to make
Look at the criteria for applying for a DTV visa. You want validation that you can do it or others to say yes you can because they did. But it's not hard for officials to see where you are when you apply. If they ask for a copy of your visa stamp into where you are supposedly are applying or a copy of your hotel that you are staying. What then these are things asked when people say the embassy has asked for more documents. So they must scurry to that country. The rule to apply I'd you must be outside of Thailand. If you don't want to go out and wait for approval don't apply. It's a 5 year visa well worth the trip and expense. This reply is not just for you but others contemplating same
ok so they are fully online it's up and running just no system to pay online must go to embassy to pay. 10,000 bht. That's ok I found Vientiane very good to deal with and understand English well. I think they will be a good option to apply at online.also close to border with bus and train options back to Thailand
yes they just wanted to check because you didn't have multi entry thinking you wanted to return and work. They were trying to be helpful didn't want your visa cancelled. Your visa is tied to your work permit. Same happened to me l just said l finished work so it's not required. Nothing sinister in the immigration inquiry. You will be fine coming back.
it standard in Thailand expats don't want anyone getting it better than them. I say it should be as easy as possible for all share more it's a big place enjoy our life here don't live in fear
appointments finished 20 December for anyone wondering. Can remember a post saying Laos will be online applications but would take 14 days to set up. Maybe confirm with embassy as Tod has explained. You wouldn't want to make the trip for nothing. But it's a cool place to hang out while you wait for approval
