That's Ok to get 30day extension. Just make sure the place you stay will do a TM30 for you.

What documents are needed for a tourist visa application at the Thai embassy in Vientiane after a visa cancellation?

the cacellation must be done by Immigration , if done you can go to other places to apply. As other member already mentioned in Vientiane need booking 3-4weeks in advance. You can do also a quick border run for 30dasy and do a 30day extension.

most likely no, because you already registered your passport. I look often into the system and sometimes I get that message too, I log on a few minutes later and it is fine. You can also request a new password.

they have upgraded, redone and fine tuned that system, most likely during process they detected your account being idle and blocked it. Best send them a message, or you try to log on again in few minutes.

How can a Vietnamese passport holder maximize their stay in Thailand on a tourist visa?

I have never seen a Vietnamese with a METV, but it is possible. If teh person plan to do visa runs for 30days, please be aware that Vietnamese are not unlimited anymore, just TWICE in a calendar year and for visa application the Vietnamese have to return to home country.

just had a look and the online appointment system is open for booking up to Friday 31st May. I assume that tomorrow or within a few days they will release the first week for June to the public.
