Your friend is right, nothing will happen, as long as you don't go to the immigration office. Ignore these repliers saying you'll "be fined". Nobody is looking for foreigners who didn't do their 90 day report. It's only an issue if you take yourself to an immigration office, which being on a DTV, I have ZERO clue why anybody on a DTV would do that.

Don't make too much drama out of this. Yes, you were scammed. But you have the DTV. Just find something else to justify your stays for the next 5 years in case immigration asks. If you escalate this to the authorities it will probably backfire on you. Just walk away and keep your DTV.

Each consulate or embassy may have it's own website but it's just for information and contact details. You can't submit an application on those websites. The official site for all Thai visa applications, including the DTV is

You're so wrong. Not everyone is "getting Soft Power version" (I got Workcation, and so did many people here). Workcation was actually super easy for me because you know what: I ACTUALLY WORK REMOTELY and can prove it and will be able to prove it for the next 5 years! Good luck with that if you went with a "Soft Power version".
