Can I leave Thailand for three months on a DTV for Workcation and return to stay longer?

I'm on the DTV for Workcation (remote work) but am leaving Thailand today after staying for just 3 weeks. I will be gone for 3 months because I have other stuff to take care of outside Thailand. Could there be any issues with staying for a short time on the DTV, then being away from Thailand for some months, then coming back again to stay a month or two? I imagine for the Soft Power version of the DTV that may seems questionable, but for a remote worker like me it shouldn't be an issue, right?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV for Workcation (remote work) allows for multiple entries, meaning you can leave Thailand after a short stay and return without any issues, as long as you are within the validity of your visa. Many users share that coming and going is normal for remote workers and digital nomads, and entry stamps can grant up to 180 days on each return. Therefore, you should not face problems returning after 3 months.

It's a multi entry. The purpose of it is to come and go as you please.

No problem, unless it says on your visa what category you applied under. They won't even know.

You can be sure they know what category you applied under, how else would they able to check when you extend?

If they want to know they could ask to see the documents you applied with. Why would some have it in the remarks if it comes up on the screen?

All embassies have their own way of working, some use remarks, others don't.

But you can be sure the application like you did is filed completely.

You do know MoFA and Immigration are separate departments?

yes, but what has that to do with filing a visa application?

Immigration needs the visa application data to check if you still comply at the initial requirements when you ask for an extension, so they will have access.

I have no idea about Thailand, but in a lot of countries foreign affairs even issues visas on behalf of immigration.

Yes they can ask to see the documents you applied with. Regardless, let's both enjoy our 5 years multiple entry visa. Cheers.

It’s a multiple entry visa. You may come and go as you please during the validity of the visa. Each entry will get you a 180 day stamp. You do not have to stay for the whole 180 days.

Not at all. You're free to enter, exit and enter again as you wish within the visa 5-year validity.
