I now do this calculation myself every time before arriving. 180 days from Friday March 7 = September 3. So expect your stamp to say either 2 Sept or 3 Sept. A difference of one or two days isn't a big deal so I wouldn't fuss over it. Plus, they may have a different way of counting that 180.

not sure why being from a particular US state would matter.

"...but did ask for the DTV Visa"

Why didn't you hand it to her together with your passport in the 1st place?

Some of ya'll just begging to be hassled by IO.

"If I don’t attend the interview, will it cause any issues?"

Nah, don't worry about it. Don't attend. It'll be fine. You're the boss.

Tell us what they asked for and maybe we can give you some workarounds. Plenty of folks have been in the same situation but got approved.

Beautiful, love seeing positive DTV arrival posts

Forget this stupid lawyer idea. It WON'T work! Embassies have the right to reject with or without a reason. Just go to Vietnam and apply under soft power category. Far much easier and cheaper. Lots of people are getting approved that way.

Payment is handled by some 3rd party processor and KBank. Embassy only cares that it's paid, not by whom or how.

I've yet to hear anything positive about the DTV from so-called "agents". They always say something negative, and usually untrue, about the DTV. Plenty of Pakistani passport holders have already obtained the DTV.

There's a Pakistani who got approved by the Thai Consulate in Guangzhou. He obviously must have a Chinese residence permit to apply there. My point is there's hope if you have residency in another country.
