always something different. Wrong bit of paper. Right bit of paper but not hand written, double sided copy, previous extension from another province, new passport etc etc etc. Its not worth wasting any more time with them. I was told to get 2 covid extensions to allow money to season even though it had been in my account 8 months! I did this and went back but still no good as one covid extension was obtained out of my home province as I was in Bangkok at the time. I have managed many things with ease in Bangkok that local immigration will not even consider. They make up the rules as they go along and vary them every day.

I've now decided the 0 baht is better off back in the UK.

For 30k I got funds deposited, a bank account and absolutely no hassle getting my retirement extension. Took about one hour. I've had 0 baht in a Thai account for nearly 3 years but for some reason I always get declined my retirement extension. I prefer to go through the process in person to make sure it is done right.

Grab has worked great for me in Bangkok and in Feb the charges had gone down a lot. Transport and food delivery. Trackable and efficient never had to wait for more than 10 minutes for a ride.

the best thing to do us ask at your local office. I have no personal experience but have read several times that a combination of balance and monthly payments is accepted. The balance must remain intact for 3 months after an extension and be topped up 3 months before the next extension. It must never drop below a certain limit I think half of whatever amount you are using. Ie 0 bhat must never drop below 0 baht and must remain at 0 baht for 3 months after e tension and be topped up 3 months before next extension. £ must sit there and never be used. That is why I use an alternative.

you can have a mixture of cash and transfers but they must total the same. So if you had baht in your account you could transfer half of baht per month.

very well. Maybe English is not your first language. I can read what you have written but have no idea of the meaning behind it. Maybe you could explain? Could be something to do with the choice of words, spelling, grammar and lack of punctuation all of which are important for correct comprehension.
