Not that complicated. Go apply for new 90 day extension based on retirement. After 60 days go apply for 1 year extension based on retirement. Don't use an agent - the Thai Immigration fees are cheap.
I'll renew it in November, 30 days before it expires. I can stay in Thailand without 'visa runs' to the border. Address reporting is required every 90 days.
I had the same situation in February. NonO retirement extension issued in Thailand, with re-entry permit. Upon re-entering I needed 30 days insurance, no onward ticket. They stamped me in until the extension expires in Decemer.
She has never been to the US. No legal status. For the TIN I think proof of irth and marriage was all I needed. Better check the IRS website to be sure.
All I had to do was get her a TIN. When I filed my tax return I included the TIN application, supporting documents, and claimed her exemption on my tax form. They sent her a TIN and allowed the exemption on my taxes.
