mine cost me £120 in the UK before I came to Thailand. I would not call that expensive and its worked perfectly for 3 years. Use it for hotspotting my laptop and can receive texts from UK when required. In fact, the device I am using to type this is hot spotted to the phone right now.
that's exactly what I am doing but they will most likely find something wrong with it even though the funds will have been there 18 months. If interest rates go up in UK the money is going back there.
That is all very useful Tod but in Bangkok I had to show a transaction on application day. I did a phone top up and then had to get bank book updated again.
not everyone gas an IO that is as co operative or helpful. There is no way my office would do any photocopying for you. You would have to leave, get the copy and then que up again only to be told something else is required. Trying to get a certificate of residence out of them is like pulling hens teeth.
