yes true, thats about my mthly budget also. Mind you we are helped by a good thai friend we hav known for yrs that she rents out a 2 bedroom semi - detached hse on the darkside for only 7,000b a month to us.

Same me, left London after financial crash. Been here since. Never regretted one bit. Went bac short visit while ago. Absolute mess now. Angry people everywhere, even got migrants sleeping in tents in centre of Park Lane Mayfair W1. One of the most expensive areas in London.
