that is definitely the way to go. For my USD bank , is a three day service. Also if you’re lucky enough to have any Baht left on your return they can be exchanged on the spot at your bank. This method also helps me budget for the trip and not get carried away. Seldom if ever bother with ATM’S. I carry only a few USD’S , for the trip home, tips etc. most airports and their shops and restaurants accept charge or debit cards.

why would they draw down? In that case I’m assuming there’s no interest on the 800TB ?

I’ve never had an issue. Last trip March 2024. Other than Bangkok or possibly other major cities, one can get everything over the counter, except narcotics. Although will be in Thai descriptions. Not on shelf, but ask pharmacist. Often supervised speaks some English. More convience to bring your own 90 day supply.

Lezada is similar to Amazon. Not sure if clothing and shoes would be expat friendly. Check it out, my extended Thai family use them.

To get 90 days, must apply for a tourist visa on line in your country. 60 days (200$ fee) plus one 30 day extension @1,900$ baht nearest immigration. Or 30day+ one extention plus border run for 30 day plus another fee on both sides. Not easy, must be very careful and picky where you cross the border. There are agents that take you by bus with others and do it for you. Go to consulate website for the exact instructions. Border runs of course excluded.

yes, a River cruise in Bangkok, takes planning and reservations. Plus takes up one whole evening, even with an escort from your hotel, transport included and guide. Sells out for top deck. I just enjoyed it on
