Honestly, I’ve gotten used to Vietnam. I’m still here and not rushing to Thailand. I’ll probably go in another couple of months, but it’s good to know there’s a country in the region that will accept me reliably.

Yes, at first I applied in Hanoi with the help of an agent, for a course rather than for remote work.

I was refused in Hanoi and approved in Ho Chi Minh City. I work at a company, also in IT. I’d be happy to go over your paperwork if you’d like.

Based on other people’s experience here, it can take several business days, and sometimes even up to a month and a half. There is no definitive answer.

The document review and approval process takes time at least 8 business days, and in some cases even up to a month. You must remain in Vietnam during this entire period, so the answer is no.

1. It must explicitly state that you are permitted to work from Thailand. “From anywhere in the world” is not sufficient.

2. They are requesting an official certificate from the company registry in the country where your employer is registered. This is a standard official document that every registered company has. If the document is not in English, make sure to provide a certified translation.

Not exactly. The DTV application does not have to be submitted from your country of citizenship or where your employer is based. It must be submitted from outside Thailand, through a Thai embassy or consulate in a country where you are legally staying. Many people apply from a third country where they are temporarily residing, as long as they can prove legal stay there.
