What official documents does the Thai Embassy require to prove remote work eligibility for expats?

Hi guys,

I requested documents from Canberra, and since I have two jobs, I was provided with both contracts and a letter stating that I’m allowed to work remotely from anywhere.

However, the Thai Embassy asked for the following, and I’m a bit confused:

1) I already provided the company number in the letter, but they seem to be asking for something more official, such as a Companies House Certificate of Incorporation or a Companies House Company Profile.

Has anyone experienced this, or can you clarify what exactly they are expecting?

2) They also seem to want another letter confirming that I’m allowed to work remotely while staying in Thailand.

My previous letter included my salary and highlight work from anywhere remotely — for this new letter, is it necessary to include salary again, or is it enough to simply confirm that remote work from Thailand is permitted?

Any advice from those who have applied would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification on documentation needed for remote work from Thailand while applying for a visa. They have provided a company contract and a letter allowing remote work but need guidance on the specific requirements from the Thai Embassy. Key points include the need for a Companies House Certificate of Incorporation and a clear letter stating permission to work from Thailand.

1. It must explicitly state that you are permitted to work from Thailand. “From anywhere in the world” is not sufficient.

2. They are requesting an official certificate from the company registry in the country where your employer is registered. This is a standard official document that every registered company has. If the document is not in English, make sure to provide a certified translation.
