If you're looking to work in Thailand an ED visa is no good for you. You can't work on the Non Imm ED visa

Technically yes, however you may well be quizzed by Immigration so be prepared with the 3 proofs, ie 20k Baht in cash or a currency equivalent, accommodation, and onward travel within 30 days

The 'family visa' is generally for guardians/dependant relatives as opposed to marriage. It's the same visa(non imm O) but issued for different criteria and with different requirements

You cant get the 1 year "family visa" at Savannakhet without showing finances only the non imm O based on marriage.

400k 2 month's prior is for the yearly extention of stay, there's no seasoning required for the non imm O visa.
