So apparently according to the Bangkok Post, Russian citizens are now getting 3 months visa exempt? Only Russians? What about other nationalities?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The recent announcement by Thailand allowing Russian citizens to stay visa-free for up to 90 days has sparked discussion regarding fairness towards other nationalities. Commenters noted that if other nationalities were not included in the announcement, it likely means they do not qualify for the same exemption. The policy is seen as a means to boost tourism amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions, and there are concerns among other tourists about the preferential treatment given to Russians, especially considering the challenges they face in other countries due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
People complaining about Russians getting 90 days. Different countries have different entry requirements. Some countries have visa exempt some have Visa on Arrival for a very limited period. Some you can extend and some cannot extend. That's life.

You need to lobby the Canadian government or your local politicians then. This is about reciprocity. If Canada grants Thais easy visa-free entry then Thailand will grant the same to Canadians.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for a Post report about an announcement to actually become a regulation!
BTW, if other nations permitted Thai citizens to visit without a visa (as Russia has done for many years), maybe they would also be considered for reciprocal arrangements.
PS - Tim Newton led with this story today. The change is announced to take effect from 1 Nov. Lets see.
considering the type of Government has, and the way it treats it's citizens for the slightest criticism of it, I doubt that Russia has any fears that Thais will 'abuse' the Visa Exempt to try to live permanently in the country & seek a 'better life', like Thai women in particular do when it comes to other countries like USA and Australia for example. That's not meant in any way a criticism of Thai people by the way.

Well let’s hope Thailand doesn’t change it’s land ownership rules…
no as my family runs quiet peaceful resorts in Thailand you see them trashing the place, fighting and disrespecting Thai. throwing bottles on the beach etc. It’s been a problem for many Thai businesses. And they do not go to National Parks and they do go bars all day. your comment make no sense
