Well, Robert closed the comments on the 'Cambodia crossings'
And Tod mentioned that there are 40 crossings in Sa Keow. I just wanted to add that there are probably hundred's, if not thousands, of border crossings into Cambodia for Thais, most of them actually illegal though! #noonegivesashititsbusinessasusual

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion highlights the numerous border crossings from Thailand into Cambodia, with a note that many of these crossings are illegal for Thai citizens. Commenters express concern about the lack of information for foreigners regarding legal crossings, specifically mentioning well-known points such as Chong San Ngam, Aranyaprathet, and Hat Lek, while questioning the process for visa stamps on illegal crossings.
Well as this page is for Thai Visa advice, I don't see any benefit of probably hundred's, if not thousands, of border crossings into Cambodia for Thais. As strange as it may sound for some of us, Thai people do not need a Visa or Visa Exempt Entry to stay in their own country.
Just following the news that almost every week foreigners got arrested with illegal entry in Thailand. I guess they use these borders because there is no Immigration checkpoint with stamps available. So don't see the importance of this topic.
sure. What we need are the crossings foreigners can use. All along the border to Cambodia I only know: Chong San Ngam, Aranyaprathet, and Hat Lek. Not sure about Ban Laem
Exactly, but it wasnt the point of my post. Thais can cross into Cambodia at many places non Thais cant. Just a heads up, but most of them are actually not legal crossing points
If this was a big issue I can assure you Thaivisa website would have made a big news about it. Since there is not one thread on there talking about it i would not be worried.
Anders Guldenskold I think you need to rewind, my post was about the hundreds of crossings into Cambodia for Thais. Good luck for you that your Embassy fixed your Thai immigration problems
Steve Greir Yes if someone holding you hostage for money and they allow you call your Embassy why would it not help? Never going to pay 10 000 THB to some Cambodian immigration. Same with Thai immigration if they taking a piss i called the Embassy and they fixed it.
Steve Greir Do not know why you so are so aggressive? Never mind this thread is pointless since we not have the fact anyway. Off course you call your Embassy if you stuck in another country with corrupt officials i done it before and always helped
I would simply call the Embassy and ask them to talk to them immigration in Question. I am sure they would feel it would be strange that it now cost 10 000 to visit Cambodia.
Steve Greir If Cambodia ask farang to pay 10 000 thb or stay in Cambodia for one night you it would be big news. So far i have not seen any website or facebook post other than this.
