TLDR : Answer Summary
The original question asks if it's possible to obtain a 60-day extension on a Non-Immigrant O visa for individuals over 50. One commenter suggests that it should be possible in theory and requests more information on the Non-O visa.

In theory it should be possible. Do you have any writing on the Non-O visa?

I dont know, it's not my visa. I know the extention is available from a Non Imm O based on marriage.

If there is writing, the answer is *probably* not. If there is not any writing, then the answer should be yes, they can get a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family.
