My reason for choosing a 30 day Covid Extension versus a EoS one year B Visa is as follows. I have 12 months left on my One Year Multi-Entry B Visa (out of Penang) 9 months + 3 months. This Visa Cost me 5000 Baht plus 4000 in Travel and Hotel. Also I just like being Independent of local Immigration. Even though I conduct my Business in every way to be compliant with requirements to obtain an Extension of Stay one year.

Isn't the Thai Border closed - requiring Medical Cert. with a Negative Covid-19 test, and $100,000 USD Covid-19 Health Insurance Coverage.?

the lady and her son plus other passengers left KL to BKK. Got turned back (she had all the required credentials)... Air Asia took them back to KL... Dumped them all into an empty terminal. No real help. But her messages go out to several including me and pressure mounted from many directions. She was to be held there until April 14. But the public and private pressure popped her loose... She and her son got out 3 days ago

Many people tried to get out - or even to a border bounce for 30 more days. But borders closed one after another within days of each other. Then flight cancelations, then other countries closed their borders - making connecting flights very iffy. Then add in very confusing government announcements - often retracted. But if you're sitting at your house with no deadline to meet - it all seems pretty simple to you.

Even if Immigration waived the Overstay fines. The overstay stamp is still a problem. If anyone is on a Non Imm Multi Entry O or B. Visa. Then overstay cancels the visa. Fallout from that Penang will not grant a new B or any other visa if you have an Overstay stamp in your passport

Yes - obviously many of the measures to mitigate the epidemic spread have helped. But the ratcheting down of movement to the point of destroying the economies of countries is bad policy. Leadership is being pressured by rampant news media hype. The news media seems to never cease increasing the exaggeration of the epidemic.

So much of it has become political arguments of Left VS Right. And 90+% of Western World news media is Leftist. The exception are the controlled countries, such as China, Iran and number of very controlled smaller countries. No one wants to be like China - but today's news in Western Countries is a coordinated Leftist controlled script.
