I suggest to people - Learn to Recognize RUMORS and Rumor Mongers. Rumors about Visas are usually posted Without a copy of a Thai Government Notice. Often they are nothing more than 'bar talk' ... If it is a drastic change you see posted and there is no Government Notice to be seen - then it is RUMOR ...

If you see a change in Visa Rules and Regs posted - then challenge the person who posted it for a LINK to the source to verify or a copy of the new rules change... Especially if it is something that seems drastic... If the poster cannot produce a document or a Link to a verified source then tell them to STFU

You forget the income method - no money at all tied up

If you are over 50 a year at a time is almost guaranteed, at low cost, not much hassle using the Income method

I have read dozens of comments on this on other venues, most do not want to commit to trying up larger sums of money for long periods of time

The current less complicated Extensions for over 50 and the O-A Visa,,, and even the Elite card visa - also uncomplicated ... will make this new offering not very popular...
