need residency certificate but not medical. Medical only for driving license

Immigration moved into central mall, but for non o visa you must go to Mae Sai immigration. Simple bus trip and grab scooter to immigration.

I did last year, rather simple. Mae Sai is very helpful. You must get monies in bank before you can do visa.

I did car and motorcycle license first (bring driver’s license and international driver license) and you will need medical and residency certificates.

I am American and have driven on each side in many countries so no problem for me. Last trip we flew Chiang Mai directly to Luang Prabang (took the slow boat up river to come home to Chiang Rai), and had to drive our rented scooter of other side). The roads are very bad still in Lao else I would have tried driving.

I don’t think I have first class insurance???

So far looks like I will be getting insurance at boarder but not finished looking.

if they were to use the marriage route, she would get a green card and be able to work when she arrived (if married for two years). Else another wait if she intends to work. First time denied but second time was successful. My new Thai wife with no previous travel has a USA tourist visa, and she is with me now in the USA. We will be returning to Thailand after a 85 day in USA as that is where we chose to live.

You could call the tourist police and ask them? Message is a bit personal. The pool I swim at occasionally asked me if they could take some photos & videos of me swimming as their pool business never recovered after Covid. I said sure no problem, I do not even know their FB.

It’s been higher and it has been lower.

I have unlimited free atm withdrawals so the atm works best for me. Beats Wise.

I live in Chiang Rai, and my USA bank gives me free ATM debit card withdrawals which I have found to be the best and simplest method for getting Bahts. I can withdraw $500 per transaction $1000 daily limit so I pull out 17,000 Baht twice and deposit in my Thai bank. Do not take the conversion option as it will cost you about $30 in what you will get without conversion.
