Thank you all members on this group for the helpful information. I just got my DTV softpower Visa! 🍀

I was many times in Thailand, try to stay in Thailand without a visa up to 6 month, but last time they took me out to explain me that I need a good visa. So after I fly to my homecountry Austria i contact the Thai embassy in Vienna via email for more information about the DTV and the 500.000Thb, they want to see. They told me, they also except online bank account statements (English!) from Revolut, but the money have to stay minimum 3 month! I ask if a saving account on revolut also ok, but never get answer 🤣 so I transfer all my money to my revolut main account, hold in around 14000€, and use this account all the time for spending in Supermarkt, shopping in Austria 🇦🇹 I think it’s also a proof that you stay in Austria while you apply, because I heard the embassy in Vienna, that they like to invite you for a interview. And when you live far away it’s not easy to take time and go there. So I was lucky- no interview!

Here are the facts:

September 12> my agent in 🇹🇭 check and apply all the documents for me (cost me 5500THB) including the papers from MuayThaiCourse 6Month/2Class (28000THB)

Meanwhile I was working and waiting in Austria and was shocked that I got this message:👇

September 17th> Nachforderung:

- A cover letter explaining your current profession and how it aligns with the DTV requirements-

So I just wrote some letter, explaining my job, my company, my income and ask my boss for a extra confirmation that I am able to go to Thailand long time and I am able to work again in the future whenever I want because him have many company’s so it’s easy to quit and start again. All this I send in English and wait until yesterday evening (25.9) to get My DTV! ✅

… so it took me 13days including weekends. Some nights I was not able to sleep, because I was thinking they not want to give me the visa for some reason, because many people book the MuayThai school, but never go. I payed a lot so I also want to use. Anyway I need more sport activities! 🤣 I am happy that everything is done, I think it will be harder in the future to get this kind of Visa.

Wish you all good luck

I am currently living in Thailand on a non-immigrant O spouse visa. I plan on applying for a DTV 6-months before the end of my current non-immigrant O as this is the only time I will be in another country for long enough for the application process. A few questions:

1) I see on the document list I need a 'Document Indicating Current Location.' Does that mean Thailand or UK?

2) Assuming it means the UK, what kind of document would that be e.g. a bank statement with my parent's UK address on?

3) Am I correct in thinking I can't start the application process before I leave Thailand?

4) Do I need to do something to cancel my non-immigrant visa or will it auto cancel when I get my new DTV?

[HANOI -Soft Power APPROVED]

Hi everyone, just wanna spread the good news that my visa's been approved after 10 working days in Hanoi.

I went the Soft Power route with Arun Thai Cooking School. They were really helpful and provided all the school's document 1 day after the payment. I paid for 6-month course via WISE. I highly recommend the school if you plan to stay in BK and wanna do a cooking course.

My timeline and what I submitted:

28/8 - Application submitted (Pending Document Check)

* 3-month bank statements (May - June - July). I highlighted all important info eg., address, account holder's name, final monthly balance. I had about 350-400k THB for a long time but only had the full amount since July 23.

* Screenshot of my current balance on the day of submission on my bank app + Xe.com exchange rate VND to THB.

* My national ID card + Bank Letter as Proof of Address (as I'm a Vietnamese national)

* Intended date of arrival + Accommodation I just picked a random flight (which comes to 171-day stay) and a hotel I stayed before in BK. Didn't book anything.

29/8 - Pending Approval

15/9 - Approved! (No further document request).

My advice: Like a lot of people on the group already said, just familiarize yourself with the system. Double check all info. Write exactly as in your passport ie., place of issue I just wrote "Cuc Quan Ly Xuat Nhap Canh" in Vietnamse, no translation!

I don't know if I missed any other details on the post please comment if you wanna ask me something specific. Tysm for everyone's support on the group. It helped me have faith though I was a bit hopeless towards the end lol.

Hello there , ☀️

I am planning to go to Bangkok for 2 weeks and afterwards to Phuket.

Does anyone know a place in Bangkok (Muay Thai) where I can request for the DTV visa only for a few classes or 1 month so I can go on to another island.

And also the question is do I need to apply for Bangkok or could I also apply for Phuket and can first enter in Bangkok ?

Thank you in advance guys 💃
