What are you talking about? The OP wants a CoR (Certificate of Residency). Thats no card, and no visa book or wahtever you got at the immigration..

Most people don‘t carry their passports with them. Either a hardcopy of it or on the phone to show when asked.

The Thai DL has almost same worth as the farang pinkID.

Not one of my friends coming to visit me had any issues, they come to Thailand 3 times a year for 3 weeks holiday, thats legit and if they do grill someone at the immigration its mostly for good reasons. 😉

Do you need to go to Bangkok to open a bank account in Thailand as an expat?

If you are on a tourist visa or visa exempt you will not be able to open a bank account not even in Bangkok, just be aware of that. But if you have longstay visa and meet the requirements you can open a bank account at any bank at any branch even in Jomtien.

really? Thanks for the top. So if you use your card origin from another province they charge the 15 thb fee, bit not if I use the app and QR code for cardless withdrawel?

Besides overstay, you will have to do the whole processing of applying fo a non-O. Unfortunately IO doesn‘t care about your situation running out of time due to the bank statement duration.

By the way, which bank takes over a week to print out a 1 year statement?
