Ive often wondered if someone showed up at a bank with a big wad of cash and asked can i have an account to put this in?

If you use your phone number expect all the scam callers to start calling you from the scam call centre's and if you have WhatsApp you'll get scam messages offering you jobs.

I never give out my phone number. Only friends and family have it. After i used my phone number on my application all this scam calling started.

What can they do with your bank number? Send you money?

Mine didn't even have my name on it and it was approved.

It's an app that uses VOIP. As long as you have an internet connection you have a UK number.

Ive been using it for years.

My Nationwide will only accept a UK number.
