Has anyone done a dtv for medical care for themselves or their children? This is actually the main reason we want to come to Thailand so we are considering that route instead of a class?
I would just like to enquire if any of our members are on on DTV 5year multiple entry Medical Tourist Visa. One of the requirements is a letter of invitation from a hospital in Thailand. I am looking at setting up in Jomtien area or south of their. I am a diabetic. Can you recommend a world class hospital possibly that has a section suited for diabetic care that I can inspect and ask for a letter? You not require medical insurance, but as a safety net I would like to be covered for incidents like road accidents , Physio, Choiro.I am assuming medical insurance may be difficult to get if you have a pre-existing condition like diabetes. I am reaching out as a diabetic as I monitor my HB1AC every 3 months, yearly ophthalmologist checks, podiatry checks, exercise programs, etc. I realise the Hospitals are all world class in Thailand, but I am looking at Specific diabetic treatment from members who suffer from this chronic disease. If you use annother facility , not in the Jomtien area of Thailand please share or PM me direct. If you could share a name of medical insurer that has the best benefits for Diabetes would be appreciated as well as a hospital clinic would be appreciated. I believe you need less money in the Thai Bank Account which means the rest of the money can be earning interest from the country come from. Please PM if you are on a Medical Tourist Visa.
Hello, I’ve been following this group for awhile now and it has been so useful. I now have a question for anyone from America who uses Tricare (overseas health care program). Is there any hospital in Bangkok or Pattaya that will direct bill Tricare? I went to one hospital (Bumrungrad) but they said they couldn’t, but with doctor approval they could try and ask to direct bill. Thank you for your help.
Hi, looking for advice regarding medical certificate for OA Visa. I’m in Australia andd having trouble getting a Dr to sign off on it. My Dr refused and referred me to Bupa Immigration Medical Service who informed me that they do not deal with this type of request…. any advice would be appreciated 🙂
So I'm from the UK, and have a question for all the expat OAP's who are on 20 tablets a day like myself? What's the process for prescription meds? Do I need to visit a hospital with my medical history and get it OK'd by a doc first, or can I just stagger out of Soi Cowboy into the nearest pharmacy, no questions asked? Tia
I want to move to Nong Khai, Thailand with a DTV, using the medical treatment - soft power option. It has very been difficult to get good information. I've contacted the hospital in Nong Khai but is there a better first step?
I’m curious whether any of you in the US have had difficulty getting your doctor to sign the Thai Consulate’s Medical Certificate form for the Non Immigrant OA Visa application.
