Hello to everyone 🙏😊

Does anyone have any experiences with a cheap Thai health insurance which fulfills the requirements for getting a OA retirement Visa ?

I just need this insurance for the Visa issue. I have another health insurance which is not accepted for this purpose.

Thank you for all your help in advance.

And please say something when you know something.

🙏😊🙏

So I'm from the UK, and have a question for all the expat OAP's who are on 20 tablets a day like myself? What's the process for prescription meds? Do I need to visit a hospital with my medical history and get it OK'd by a doc first, or can I just stagger out of Soi Cowboy into the nearest pharmacy, no questions asked? Tia

Which document should i prepare for DTV application based on medical treatment?

Im currently under treatment at a major hospital after an accident last year.

Will the recites for the treatments i have received the last 10 months be enough?

Im currently awaiting between treatments and dont have more than a verbal agreement to return to treatment when conditions are right.

Im retired an have pension every month.

Im getting a financial guarantee 500k from my family to support the application

All information on how i should prepare, and where to go and apply for smooth experience will be received with gratitude

Thanks in advance :)

I want to move to Nong Khai, Thailand with a DTV, using the medical treatment - soft power option. It has very been difficult to get good information. I've contacted the hospital in Nong Khai but is there a better first step?

I’m curious whether any of you in the US have had difficulty getting your doctor to sign the Thai Consulate’s Medical Certificate form for the Non Immigrant OA Visa application.

I’m on the last part of my DTV. I’m 70 and going for medical. I submitted my letter from my doctor in Thailand. They are asking for specifics on my care. The particulars seem intrusive. Has anyone else cone across this?

“Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center: The doctor's appointment letter should include details about the disease you are being treated for (What is the treatment for? How necessary is it to see a doctor for continuous treatment? appointment date ,time, and doctor's name”

I have a retirement Visa that expires in April 2026. The quotes that I’ve had from the UK Internet search using the likes of compare the market for long-term health insurance are over £1800 (72k baht) for a single trip annual policy.

I will be coming out in late October for approximately six months and wondered if there were any local insurance companies who might be cheaper.

I am 68 and have no long-term health issues and would appreciate if anyone has any contacts so I could message/email them to get some local quotes.
