October 2019 Update; Today I did my TM30 with this method and it’s still okay. I arrived at CW around 13:15 and left around 14:00
But they didn’t fine me for being late reporting myself. I was late for 2 months. I don’t know if the rule has changed or the trainee girl just liked me 😂
Normally the school would know what documents we should prepare. All those documents are in Thai, most people won’t really know what’s what.
My advice would be, find a right school that have good reputation for visa stuff. Or find a school that do not give visa easily. The stricter the better.
It’s definitely less risky entering Thailand by land. But Even if you decided entering by plane, you still have chance to fly to the neighboring country IF you’re denied at the airport. Just make sure to take an airways that have many flights to SE Asian cities so you can fly to these cities instead of flying back to your country.
that’s the thing, my school is stressing on listening and comprehension. We’re not supposed to speak until we have enough input and able to speak without thinking. Everytime I did visa extension, the officers would talk in English. They never asked me if I could speak Thai. So when people say that they will be tested when we study Thai, I’m always curious if it really happened to some people. Or was it only rumor that someone heard from a friend from another friend?
in my experience, I’ve never been tested when I used an ED visa from a language school for a year. I wanted to be tested to know my improvements lol
The question shoud be, why do they only give a year visa for language learning? Thai is a difficult language, one year isn’t enough to master the language. They should give more visa if we can prove that we’re really studying Thai.
