The discussion revolves around a user whose tourist visa to Thailand was rejected, prompting others to share similar experiences and seek clarification on the reasons behind such rejections. Commenters inquire about specific details such as the reasons for rejection, the embassy involved, and the user's travel history. The conversation touches on misconceptions regarding unlimited entries for Singaporeans, immigration policies, and the importance of having the correct visa for the intended length of stay.
And as Derick now knows...even with a Tourist Visa and being Singaporean he does not gain unlimited entries...even though the published notice seen below posted by Amornrat seems to allow it... into Thailand. Its apparent the Thai Immigration officers are questioning the purpose of so many entries....and do deny entry.
Good Luck !

I guess the message is clear. There is no unlimited entries, there is a unknown maximum of using Tourist visa, there is a unknown maximum of using ED visa and those who do this or try to keep on doing this will face one day an Immigration Officer who tell them: Sorry entry denied based on reason nr....... of Section 12.(I posted that document earlier). You just go back as ordered by Immigration and the airline company and try again next time, with or without a better visa, the choice is yours.

You keep saying Singapore has unlimited entries to Thailand. So do all the other visa exempt nations/regions like USA, UK, Hong Kong and plenty of others to come to Thailand. Please read the many, many threads in this forum about others being rejected who technically meet all the requirements for entry. It is up to the immigration officer whether they choose to allow you in. It has nothing to do with whether you have a visa from a consulate or are entering visa exempt. It happens all the time. You unfortunately have a lack of understanding of how it works and are trying to argue "by the book" with the rules, which clearly isn't the case for how things work if you read all the posts from people who had similar problems entering the country.

You don't have unlimited entry, you 30 days visa exempt entry

Singaporean can get unlimited entries by land. But at the end the Thai Immigration will ask themselves why this guy is not getting the proper visa?
and that is the real QUESTION for the OP. And even with a Tourist Visa he was denied entry.

I have a pink card, I have a condo, I do not have permission to live inside Thailand but that is just a minor point as Immigration has to allow me inside their country. Why do you not get the visa that fits your purpose of stay? yes this is also the question for all the others using short time entries to stay long time in Thailand.
Happen to me last week. Never overstay . Reason too many days in thailand. I have pink card with own condo and still rejected. Sat in don meung immigration for almost 1 hour . At the end they allow me to enter
also I was advised to consult my country's consulate in the country about unjust treatment. Like Japanese consulate in BKK, London, etc. But I haven't done, don't know how effective. I just wanted the say sorry and it is important to be know. I had to do this very quickly before comment closed.

Promoting Thai news papers is not Thai visa advice. Thanks
